The Infinity of Consciousness

John Lennon said it best when he wrote, "There's nothing you can know that isn't known" Let's dig a bit deeper into the infinity of awareness...

Most of us are affected by the common problems of modern life. High levels of stress. Poor health. Shallow relationships. Feeling unfulfilled and unhappy.

But here's the thing. When you become aware of new knowledge, or new strategies or new techniques that lead you to more health and happiness, life gets better. In other words, our experiences in life are defined by our consciousness (or awareness). We're limited by what we don't know, and lifted up by what we do know.

Here's a philosophy question. The last time you found a solution to a problem, did the solution already exist or did it only come into existence the moment you figured it out? I argue that the solution has always existed, and until you figured it out, it was your own understanding that was limited. Now you have a higher understanding - a new level of awareness - a higher level of consciousness.

So let's nail down John Lennon's first line:
There's nothing you can know that isn't known.

In other words, solutions / knowledge / wisdom / abilities already exist - it's just that we aren't aware of them yet. Every problem can be overcome, everything will be known as your awareness unfolds.

Well, in enlightenment you don't just learn one new truth or one new ability - you are exposed to thousands of interconnected truths all at once. You learn that you are a being of light, and your conscious mind becomes overloaded with the mind blowing truths about you and the universe you're part of.

At first it's overwhelming, but you quickly understand who you really are and the abilities you have. But you can't know everything on the first day. You can let go of all your limitations on the first day. The daily/weekly/monthly journey of unfoldment is personal. Your enlightenment journey cannot be anyone else's, and gradual unfoldment takes time and patience.

No matter how fast or slow you go, the joy of enlightenment comes when you realize that your unfoldment is endless - there is no limit to what you can know and understand. With each cycle of unfoldment, you become better, more interesting, healthier, and more abundant than the last.

Now let's consider John Lennon's refrain.
There's nothing you can do, but you can learn how to be you in time. It's easy.

There's nothing you can do to unfold, you can only stop trying to be something that you're not. Learn to be you, a being of light. Release yourself into the flow of your own unfoldment. Becoming comfortable with who you are is the surest path to happiness.

The process is an endless cycle of knowing more, a never-ending cycle of releasing all that is false or forced. The journey to unfolding consciousness never ends. There is always more. This is only day one.
